The Mission Navigation Belt is developed together with the Royal Netherlands Army, and designed to provide users with intuitive information in critical situations. Information is provided directly to the skin keeping hands, eyes and ears free. The Mission Navigation Belt can be used to transmit information regarding navigation, communication, and warning signals.

Merijn Klarenbeek – Director of Safety and Defence – Elitac B.V.
The Mission Navigation Belt can either be integrated in a belt around the chest or in a shirt and can be used with operational outfit and equipment. It contains 8 vibration motors that are placed around the torso in order to provide information regarding direction or communication.
The Mission Navigation Belt is made from a moisture-wicking, breathable and anti-bacterial material, to make it comfortable to wear in different situations and environments. The Mission Navigation Belt can be easily put on by using the side zipper or velcro closure. The electronics can withstand 10% stretch and are washable.
My main focus within Elitac is the integration of the electronic circuits into textiles. Next to this I am working on e.g. an app that works together with one of the wearables, user manuals, as well as the preparation of multiple communication means.
